Ever wonder where an imaginary friend goes after it's creator has gotten too old for it? They go to Fosters home for Imaginary Friends, where they are fed and looked after until another child comes to adopt them for their very own.

The series was created by Craig McCracken (Powerpuff Girls) and premiered on on August 13, 2004, as a 90-minute television movie called "House of Bloo" and is now being followed up with a series of 30 minute episodes that are still in production today.

It has won Emmy awards for art direction (Mike Moon), character design (Craig McCracken) and storyboard. (Ed Baker "World Wide Wabbit") The show has also won two Annie awards for Best Original Music in a Television Series ("Duchess of Wails") and Production Design in an Animated TV Series (McCracken with Mike Moon, David Dunnet and Martin Ansolabhere for the episode "A Lost Claus").
